Today marks the naming ceremony of Jesus Christ. In some cultures till date, when a child is born they are named on the 8th day though it doesn’t happen in many part of the world. According to the Bible, a child is circumcised on the 8th day in Israel which we named as Naming Ceremony.
What is even the reason for this season? Jesus is the Reason for this Season. He was crucified for our sins, isn’t it? Are you still dwelling in your sins. What are the sins, do you think you cannot overcome those sins. Have you even ever prayed about those sins before?
The Bible says in Romans 5:12 that “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned”
Mark 2:10-12 says But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, 11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
Confess those sins today and you shall be set free.
